It occupies the spot where the Buenavista Palace was built, a palace apparently designed by no other than El Greco, and where famous literary and artistic figures, such as Miguel de Cervantes, Tirso de Molina, Baltasar Gracián and El Greco himself, used to hold social gatherings.
Today, this palace is a real oasis of luxury and calm, with spectacular panoramic views of Toledo's historic centre and the Tajo river. The city's historic center is located within five kilometers, where local landmarks such as the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz, the Holy Primatial Cathedral, or Zocodover Square stand. Doubling the distance is the Puy du Fou theme park, which brings Toledo's past to life through shows and reconstructions.
