        Cádiz

Cádiz, the oldest city in Europe, is one of the most recommendable places to visit, thanks to its leisure, culture, gastronomy and joie de vivre that focuses on enjoying life’s little details.

The “Little Silver Cup”, as this city is known, invites you to wander the streets and lose yourself in its spectacular corners, drinking in the essence of the city. We have some recommendations you must visit in this marvellous city.

        Old town

Founded in 1100 BC by the Phoenicians, Cádiz was one of the most important trading colonies in the Peninsula. This led to the construction of the city's most important monuments at that time, such as the Cathedral, which combines Baroque and neoclassical styles and is just a 2-minute walk from our apartments.

        Its beaches

It is worth discovering Cádiz’s many beaches, with their fine sand and crystal-clear waters, such as La Caleta, in the heart of the old town, with its spectacular sunsets. Others include Playa de Santa María del Mar, Playa de la Cortadura and Playa de la Victoria, which are slightly further away but just as charming.

        Tapas

The gastronomic quality of Cádiz is indisputable, and one of the best ways to discover it is through its tapas. As the fine coastal city it is, Cádiz abounds in quality fresh fish, deliciously prepared. You can’t leave without trying the famous pescaíto frito (fried fish), accompanied by a glass of sherry. A real delicacy!

        Cádiz Carnival

One of the best times to relish the essence of Cádiz is during its carnival, declared a national tourist attraction. During the celebration, the Gran Teatro Falla floods the city with humour, art and irony. It’s worthwhile exploring this temple honouring the character of Cádiz, housed in a distinctive red brick building with three large horseshoe-arched doors on its façade.
