Explore forests, waterfalls, and mountains as you immerse yourself in the nature and history of the region.

        Cascada del Caozo

        This circular route starts from the town of Valdastillas and takes you to the impressive Caozo Waterfall, one of the most beautiful in the Jerte Valley. With a waterfall drop of approximately 30 meters, surrounded by lush vegetation, it is an ideal destination for nature and photography lovers.

        Itinerary:
        The route starts and ends in Valdastillas, forming a loop that allows you to enjoy different landscapes along the way. The total distance is approximately 4 km, with an estimated duration of 1-2 hours. The trail is well-marked and perfect for a relaxed walk.

        Difficulty:
        It is considered a low-difficulty route. The path is mostly accessible, with some gentle slopes, making it ideal for hikers of all levels.

        Points of Interest:
        Caozo Waterfall: A spectacular waterfall that stands out for its beauty at any time of the year, especially in spring and autumn.
        Riverside Forest: During the walk, you will enjoy a natural environment with oaks, chestnuts, and various species of birds.

        Garganta de las Nogales

        This circular route crosses the Garganta de las Nogales, a beautiful natural area in the Jerte Valley. During the journey, hikers can enjoy waterfalls, natural pools, and a unique mountain landscape.

        Itinerary:
        The circuit begins in the town of Jerte and follows a well-marked trail along the Garganta de las Nogales. The total distance is about 10 km, and the estimated time to complete it is 3-4 hours.

        Difficulty:
        Low to moderate difficulty. Although most of the path is accessible, there are some sections with elevation changes that may require more effort.

        Points of Interest:
        Garganta de las Nogales: One of the most impressive natural areas of the Jerte Valley, with small waterfalls and natural pools perfect for resting.
        Chestnut and oak forests: A perfect setting to enjoy the landscape, especially in autumn, when the trees turn golden.

        Parque Nacional Monfragüe

        The Monfragüe National Park is a biodiversity sanctuary and one of the best places in Spain for birdwatching. Its hiking routes allow you to immerse yourself in this protected environment and discover its natural wealth.

        Itinerary:
        There are several routes within the park, but one of the most recommended is the one leading to the Monfragüe Castle and the viewpoints of the Salto del Gitano. It is approximately 8 km long and can be completed in about 3-4 hours.

        Difficulty:
        Moderate difficulty, with some steep slopes on the way up to the castle. However, it is accessible to most hikers.

        Points of Interest:
        Salto del Gitano: A privileged viewpoint to observe Griffon vultures, Spanish imperial eagles, and black storks.
        Monfragüe Castle: Ruins of an ancient fortress with stunning panoramic views of the park and the Tagus River.

        Tornavacas - Los Pilones

        This impressive route connects the village of Tornavacas with Los Pilones, passing through the famous Cherry Blossom Route and entering the spectacular Natural Reserve of the Garganta de los Infiernos. It is an ideal route to enjoy the most iconic landscapes of the Jerte Valley, especially in spring when the cherry trees bloom, creating a unique landscape.

        Itinerary:
        The route begins in Tornavacas and follows the trail that crosses the cherry orchards towards the Natural Reserve of the Garganta de los Infiernos. From there, the path leads to Los Pilones, one of the most spectacular natural formations in the valley. The route has an approximate length of 14 km (round trip) and takes about 5-6 hours to complete.

        Difficulty:
        Moderate difficulty. Although the trail is well-marked, there are some sections with elevation changes and uneven terrain, requiring a minimum level of physical preparation.

        Points of Interest:
        Cherry Blossom Route: In spring, this section becomes a natural spectacle with thousands of cherry trees in bloom covering the valley in white.
        Garganta de los Infiernos Natural Reserve: A protected area with a great diversity of flora and fauna, ideal for birdwatching and unique landscapes.
        Los Pilones: Famous natural pools formed by water erosion in the rocks, perfect for a rest or a refreshing swim in the summer.
