In one of Segovia's most privileged areas, Aurea Hotels has converted the old Oblatas Convent to open the city's first five-star hotel, an establishment which promises to be one of the city's new gems. Located in the noble heart of Segovia and enjoying sweeping views of the Eresma Valley and its boulevard, the Aurea Convento Capuchinos is home to 62 luxury rooms, a gourmet restaurant, a spa with jetted pool, sauna, Turkish bath and relaxation area, meeting rooms and a spacious garden area.
The original building consisted of a church, a convent and the founders' residence. The church has been converted into a gourmet restaurant, and the other two areas house the rooms and the hotel's common services. The hotel has received a complete interior transformation, but its exterior remains unchanged. The former orchard is now a wonderful garden with broad terraces and magnificent views.

Many people from Segovia know this building as the “Convento de las Oblatas”. The reason for this is the Oblate Sisters were the last religious group to inhabit this unique space. They did so until 1996, educating the girls sent to them from the juvenile courts. In 1996, they left the convent, which changed hands to a company that transformed it into a luxury hotel, and the first five-star accommodation establishment in Segovia.
